Welcome to PlayPortal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website theplayportal.com and the services we provide (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or purchasing a campaign, you agree to these Terms.
PlayPortal is a recruiting outreach service for tennis athletes seeking to join US college programs. When you purchase a campaign, we: (a) help you build a player profile; (b) write a personalized recruiting email based on the information you provide; (c) create a dedicated recruiting email inbox for you and give you its login credentials; and (d) send your approved email to college coaches in the division(s) covered by your plan.
PlayPortal is an outreach service, not a recruiting agency, agent, or placement service. We do not and cannot guarantee: replies from any specific coach or number of coaches, recruitment offers, roster spots, scholarships, university admission, financial aid, or visa outcomes. Any statistics on our website describe past campaign outcomes and are not a promise of your results, which depend on your athletic level, academics, budget, timing, and each program's roster needs.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms, consent to your use of the Service, and make or authorize any purchase on your behalf. By purchasing a campaign for an athlete under 18, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms.
Campaign plans are one-time payments processed via PayPal or debit/credit card through third-party payment processors. We do not store your card details. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases without notice.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: you may cancel for a full refund before your campaign launches; once your campaign has been sent to coaches, the service has been delivered and is non-refundable.
The recruiting inbox is provided as part of your campaign for the purpose of your recruitment. You are responsible for monitoring it and for all communication sent from it after delivery. We may suspend an inbox that is used in violation of these Terms or of the email provider's own terms.
The PlayPortal website, brand, and materials are our property. The campaign email we write for you may be used by you freely for your own recruitment. You grant us permission to use anonymized, non-identifying information about campaign outcomes for statistics and marketing. We will not use your name, image, or identifying details in marketing without your (or your parent's/guardian's) consent.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it, including the fact that the core purpose of the Service is sharing your player profile with college coaches.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayPortal's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your campaign. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the actions or decisions of coaches, universities, or governing bodies, or for outcomes of your recruitment process.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Termination for violation does not entitle you to a refund.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Portugal.
